Hey Hey Hey it’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for!
The blog post where the husband takes over! ME! As you all know this past weekend was Memorial Day and that means everyone who has served in the military gets a huge shout out for their sacrifices and courage for making this country great! It also means everyone was eating & drinking a lot. Wifey & I love food so here is a easy recipe that isn’t much work but takes a long time (in the crock pot). Set it and Forget it style, here we go!
We are talking about periods on the blog today so if you’re a dude or it makes you uncomfortable and you just want to pretend periods don’t exist, then feel to skip this post 🙂
I’m not going to pressure you into reading this if you just come here for the recipe posts, haha but periods are a real thing that most women have to deal with. That’s almost half the world’s population. HALF! So yes we get periods, it’s not a big deal. We shouldn’t be shamed into not talking about them.
Also this is NOT a sponsored post.
My blog isn’t that cool yet.
Hello wonderful readers! So this is my second go at this post because for some reason it didn’t save properly. You guys all know I’m a fan of food, especially when it’s easy and it looks fancy! I thought I’d give risotto a go (mostly because they’re always making it on Hell’s Kitchen) and it was NOT disappointing! I even added some crispy pork belly on top! Yum! But you don’t have to add any meat and this creamy rice is just as satisfying.
I missed last weeks blog post! I had a doctors appointment and work has been a little crazy….the warmer it gets the more things seem to pick up and get busier in my life. I am trying to do so many things and not miss out on other things and catch up on things I’ve pushed off….things things things.
Alas, that is life.
*if you have any suggestions for better controlling life, I’m ALL ears 😉
You guys know I love food, and sometimes I’ll see a food pic on my Facebook/Instagram feed or on Pinterest, and I know I have to make it! The problem is sometimes I have no clue what goes in the recipe and other times there is a vague title so I can surf the internet finding something similar or even the recipe itself. This is what happened last week, I saw an Insta story saying they just cooked a sausage orzo dish from Hello Fresh.
For those who don’t know, Hello Fresh is a weekly delivery service of ingredients and a recipe for you to make at home. It’s good for busy people, those who want to try something new, or non cookers, or people who don’t want to waste all the extra leftover ingredients when you shop for a recipe, because they send you the EXACT amount of ingredients you’ll need per recipe.
Hope everyone had a fun Easter (if you celebrate)! I know I did cracking confetti eggs on my loved ones heads haha. If you don’t know what I’m talking about just google and you tube it, you may start this tradition in your family. You’re welcome.
I’m not a huge make up gal but I do enjoy skin products like moisturizers, serums, masks, and scrubs to name a few. I thought I’d share with you a super easy scrub that I make for myself.
