Homemade Dog Treats (2 recipes!): plus BONUS Doggy Ice Cream Cups

Hello hello! October is finally here and it’s my FAVORITE month! It’s the beginning of my favorite season, Fall, Halloween (best holiday!), it’s when Kevin and I first started dating, we got married in October last year, and it’s when we adopted our wonderful puppy dog girl Lafayette on October 29th, 2013!

I can not believe it has been 3 years since this lovely Border Collie mix came into our lives. We adopted her from a shelter and she was  almost 15 lbs under weight 😦 When we first met her I thought she was way too hyper and was a little frightened that we wouldn’t have time, lint roller (she’s a shedding machine), or space (can you say 1 bedroom apartment!) for such an energetic dog. We’ve gotten to know all her quirks (she’s a weenie) and her fears (thunder) and even a few health scares (she has a sensitive stomach). Yet here we are 3 years later and she’s at a healthy weight and we’re all a happy little family!

4 Fall Fashion Outfits: featuring the blanket scarf

Hey y’all!!! It’s the LAST week of September and I am sooooo excited that Fall is in the air and October is almost here! So what better way to start off my favorite season than my very first Fashion post!

I have been addicted to blanket scarves since last year, and I just love wearing them from Fall into early Spring. They are cozy and it’s a simple way to spruce out any outfit. When in doubt, add a scarf (definitely my go to accessory).

Summer Bucket List 2016!

Hi guys!

With Fall just around the corner I got to thinking of my summer bucket list and which items were achieved and which I didn’t quite get around to. This summer has been pretty busy for me, both at work and in my personal life. I remember one of the best things about being a kid was summer vacation! As adults we don’t get a 3 month break from life but that doesn’t mean you can take some time off and pack in some fun!

Kevin and I are lucky to live within a train ride or a short drive from Chicago, there’s always a ton of fun stuff going on. Even here in Evanston we always have fantastic options. So this summer I thought I’d make a bucket list of all the stuff I wanted to do!

Adventures in Blogging: What I’ve learned so far

Hello Hello!

This week I thought I’d share with you guys a couple of things I’ve learned, and how I’m trying to better improve myself in my blogging ventures. Let me just start by saying blogging is kinda hard.

I have a full time job and I have to find the time and energy to have post ideas, execute the concept, document it, and then write about it to share with you guys. On top of that I try to both workout and read regularly, because we gotta try to keep our minds and bodies sharp. And yea, I get lazy….definitely doesn’t help that I have an HGTV addiction. But I want to have some sort of purpose and some creative direction in which I can funnel myself. Maybe try to learn more about myself through doing and sharing, too. I started this blog to have an outlet, and even though I have to find the time, I enjoy it. It started as kind of a hobby but I want it to grow and become a part time or maybe even full time project I can dedicate myself to, but I haven’t really figured out how to make any income from it yet. (Fellow bloggers, feel free to chime in!!)
