Hello everyone!
I’m back after I took my birthday week off last week, and took an all ladies camping trip this past weekend! I am so excited to turn 28 and am ready for everything this next year of my life will bring! I am finally starting to feel comfortable in my life. I have plans and ideas for what I want to achieve, and goals I am working towards to make realities! I’m pretty happy at where I am at, even though sometimes I have no clue on how to get where I want my life to go, but the balls are rolling!
Sending out positive vibes into the universe 🙂
I’m still on this summer kick, and since 4th of July is less than a week away, I thought I’d share with you, yet another, tasty recipe!
And one of the top foods that give me summer feels is Chili Cheese Dogs! Nothing like a hot dog covered in chili and topped with melty cheese.
Mmmmm….mouth drooling just thinking about it.
Plus, I’ll let you in on a little secret…I like to top mine with Fritos! That salty corn crunch balances the whole thing!
Oven Baked Chili Cheese Frito Dogs
Ingredients
8 Hot Dogs (your choice) 8 Hot Dog Buns 1 Can Chili or 2 cups Homemade Chili 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese 1/2 Red Onion (diced) Ketchup, Mustard, Relish Fritos
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375. Line a 9×13 baking pan with foil. Place buns in pan and put desired condiments at the bottom of each bun. We did ketchup mustard on half and mustard relish on the other half.
2. Place hot dogs in buns. Top each dog evenly with chili, followed by cheddar cheese, and lastly diced onion.
3. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes before digging in.
4. Top with additional onion if desired and Fritos! We used original but you can use any Frito flavor, Honey BBQ, Flaming Hot, or even Chili! Double Chili Explosion!
SO GOOOOD!!!!
It was super easy and hits the carnival/baseball game spot that I was craving!
I can see how this recipe is good to bring to a summer get together or even wrap in foil for a picnic. You can probably pre wrap each one in foil and make them on the grill!!
Tasty and they scream summertime!
Enjoy!
Love,
B
