Happy New Year lovely readers!!!

So with a new year come promises of changes you are determined to make happen. I’ve always been a fan of making goals for the year. Most of these are a larger umbrella type goal that will have smaller scale steps to achieve, and sometimes I have an idea of those smaller steps, and sometimes I’m still working out how to get there. Either way I always make a list (yay lists!!) and I always look back at the resolutions I made a year ago. Sometimes it bums me out to still have similar things on the list, but most of the time it makes me happy to see the things I’ve crossed off and are now part of my everyday life.

Hello readers!
Last blog post of 2016

2016…what can I say, it has been a whirlwind year. So many changes and milestones in my personal life. The last year of life for a ton of amazing artists. An intense election in which we are still reeling in the aftermath. There has been a lot to take in this year. Before I start down a rabbit hole of my feels for 2017, let’s just keep this last post fun and light. We can open up the can of worms next year (only 4 days away).

DIY Christmas: Holiday Gift Kraft Wrapping Paper

Hi guys!
Christmas is in 5 days!!!! Ahhhh!
Truthfully it’s 4 days away because my family celebrates on Christmas Eve, we get to open presents at midnight! I feel extremely lucky that I get to experience 2 types of Christmases (is that a word?). In my family we get together, cook, laugh, play games, eat throughout the day and then open the presents at midnight. It might just be a Mexican thang.  Then I also get Kevin’s family’s celebration, which I think is more traditional, not sure but it’s very much like any Christmas straight out of a movie. We get a gift on Christmas Eve, it’s always pajamas! Which I love because you can never have enough. Christmas morning we go downstairs in our new pj’s and the presents are all laid out under the tree, we have a Christmas egg casserole and mimosas. Then we gather around the tree and open presents.

DIY Christmas: Pet Paw Print Ornament

Hello Hello!

I am really in the Christmas spirit this season! I feel happy and jolly and excited for what the new year will bring. Thinking about the goals I’ve achieved in 2016 and the new friends I’ve made. How my relationships have strengthened, and how I have become a little more confident. Maybe not %100 sure of myself (will that ever happen??), but I definitely feel that I am on a good path! Feelin’ it guys!

Holiday Cheer: Home Christmas Decor

Heeey guuuuys!

December is here! Although holiday stuff has been out since October, I am finally in the spirit of this magical time of the year! Kevin has been in the spirit since Halloween, as I mentioned a few posts back, and now that I’m in the spirit too, we have been those ultra annoying people 😀

As many of you know, our home has been shifting and growing into a more adult home (I think?! Or at least I’m pretending it is!) over the last year. I don’t know if it’s because we got married or we’re just getting older and our views have changed, but both Kevin and I have had great ideas for improving our space! It’s crazy because we’ve lived together for almost 6 years! Maybe we want our little apartment to feel more grown up, more cozy, more us, and not just like a temporary place. Therefore we decided to amp up our Christmas decorations this holiday season!

Thanksgiving: Table Decor and Tips for First Time Hosting

Hi guys! As you know I just hosted my first big family holiday, Thanksgiving!

I was so nervous because of space in our small 1 bedroom apartment, but it was great!! The biggest challange was my tiny kitchen (there’s only so much space where I can put prepped food and ready to eat dishes!!!)
